Voyager Wellness Foundation ("we," "our," or "us") develops Wellness Pathfinder, a browser-based wellness experience that includes the Wellness Pathfinder ecosystem including Meadow (wellness tools and practices), Wander (exploration and reflection), and Village (community connection). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Wellness Pathfinder.
We collect limited information depending on how you interact with Wellness Pathfinder:
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.
We use information to:
Wellness Pathfinder is designed with a local-first approach. No account is required to use the app. Your progress, settings, and activity data are stored in your browser's local storage by default — they never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to create an account.
An optional account sync feature (coming soon) will allow you to back up and restore your data across devices. This is entirely opt-in and not required for any core functionality.
Contact information you choose to provide is stored securely and used only for communication you request.
Wellness Pathfinder is hosted on Vercel, which may process limited technical information (such as request metadata) as part of delivering and securing the service.
We do not store your progress on our servers unless you explicitly opt in to account sync.
We do not share your personal information in identifiable form. All external data sharing uses anonymized, aggregated data only. Voyager Wellness Foundation (VWF), our affiliated nonprofit, transfers anonymized data to Voyager Data Corporation (VDC) — the for-profit entity that operates this product — under a Data Sharing Agreement. VDC handles all external licensing. This structure ensures clear accountability for any future data commercialization.
Anonymized, aggregated usage data (feature engagement, session patterns, wellness practice trends) is used internally to improve Wellness Pathfinder. This data cannot be linked to any individual. No opt-out is required for internal analytics, and no data is shared externally under this category.
VDC may license anonymized, aggregated data to accredited universities and research institutions. Conditions for any such transfer include: (1) institutional review board (IRB) approval or equivalent ethical oversight; (2) de-identification meeting HIPAA Safe Harbor or k-anonymity standards; (3) no re-identification of individual users; and (4) results published in peer-reviewed venues only. You will receive notice and an opt-out opportunity in your account settings before any academic licensing begins.
VDC may license anonymized, aggregated data to health organizations, employers, insurers, and wellness companies. Data licensed under this category is aggregated only — it is never used for individual insurance underwriting, pricing, or employment decisions. You will receive notice and an opt-out opportunity in your account settings before any commercial licensing begins. Licensees are contractually prohibited from re-identifying users.
VDC may enter data exchange agreements with complementary wellness or health platforms. The same anonymization and security standards apply as in commercial licensing. You will receive notice and an opt-out opportunity before any such exchange begins.
We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics tool hosted in the United States, to understand how Wellness Pathfinder is used in an aggregated and anonymized manner. PostHog helps us analyze general usage patterns and improve the experience. We do not use analytics to identify individual users, and we do not enable session recordings or cross-site tracking.
